About Curtiss Mansion
Miami Springs, Florida
Miami Springs is located in southern Florida in Miami-Dad County. It is has a population of about 13,000 residents.
Miami Springs was founded by Glenn Hammond Curtiss, “The Father of Naval Aviation” and James Bright during the famous “land boom” of the 1920's. Originally, Miami Springs was known as Country Club Estates. Shortly after it incorporated in 1926, the city was renamed after a spring located in the area that served most of Miami with fresh water until the mid-1990'
The Curtiss Mansion was one of several homes owned by the Curtiss family. It was constructed in 1925. Glenn H. Curtiss died in 1930.
Three arsons vandalized the property, but the exterior of the Curtiss Mansion has been restored and interior restoration is currently underway.

Some resources claim that Glenn Curtiss' wife tried to burn down the Curtiss Mansion with Glenn Curtiss inside due to a domestic spat.
Visitors to the Curtiss Mansion have reported seeing apparitions as well as lights going on and off on their own. Some have reported hearing disembodied screaming sounds at the Curtiss Mansion.
