Plymouth is located in Grafton County, New Hampshire in the White Mountains Region. It is located at the confluence of the Pemigewasset and Baker Rivers. The population is about 7,000 residents.

Plymouth State University Information:

Plymouth State University, formerly known as Plymouth State College, is a co-ed residential university with enrollment of about 4,300 undergraduate students and 2,300 graduate students. The school was originally founded in 1871 as the Plymouth Normal School. It became a state university in 2003.

Plymouth State University ranked 8th in Playboy magazine's list of party schools in 1987, and 9th in 2010.

Ghosts and the Paranormal at Plymouth State University:

Blair Residence Hall: Students report the presence of a male ghost at Blair Residence Hall.

Mary Lyon Residence Hall: Students report that an angry spirit haunts the basement of this building. They report strong feelings of uneasiness in the the lower level of the Mary Lyon Residence Hall. Also, the ghost of Mary Lyon is rumored to haunt this building.

Samuel Read Hall: Students report feelings of uneasiness at the Samuel Read Hall and the sense that they are not alone even when they are alone.
