The History:

Alexandria is a small village in Thayer County located west of Hebron Nebraska. This community was named after Nebraska Secretary of State, S. J. Alexander.

That majority of the population of Alexandria is German. There are 107 people who are buried here and the earliest grave on record appears to have been that of a child, Jessie Edwards in 1900.

The Haunting:

According to local lore, there is a haunting that involves the manifestation of a covered wagon.

Observations:

This is an imaginative report. To the extent that the report is True, it would be an example of a Phantom Craft, Space Contingent type manifestation. These types of manifestations are often associated with a tragic accident of some kind. We do not have any information regarding a tragic accident at that location involving a covered wagon, but that doesn’t mean that nothing happened there that is unrecorded.

  1. This town was named after Silas Alexander, the town’s founder. Graves date back to 1846 or earlier, and people are still being buried here. There are over 1,400 buried here now. http://www.alexandriane.com/
