Anaheim was incorporated on February 10, 1970 and was founded in 1857 by fifty German families. The city name comes from “Ana” after the nearby Santa Ana River, and “heim” a German place name compound originally meaning “home”.

Anaheim High School is a public, four-year high school in Anaheim, California. The school was established in 1898. It is the oldest of the nine high schools in the Anaheim Union High School District.
Ghosts and the Paranormal at Anaheim High School in Anaheim, California:
Students have reported hearing strange sounds at Anaheim High School coming from an area that is not currently being used. They report hearing banging sounds when no one is nearby.
The theater/auditorium at Anaheim High School has also played host to paranormal goings-on. Students have reported hearing laughter in the auditorium, and in particular in the balcony.
The Red Cross House behind the football field at Anaheim High School is also reportedly haunted by the original caretaker. Students at Anaheim High School have reported feeling as though they have been pushed by an unseen force, particularly up on the second floor of the building.
