The History:

Clatonia is a very small community of less than 300 residents located in Gage County which is in Southeastern Nebraska. The community was founded by Henry Albert and J.H. Steinmeyer. The family of Henry Jones was the first to establish residence in Clatonia, which was founded in the 1890′s to serve the railroad that passed through the area.

Notable historic incidents include a fire in 1914 that destroyed nearly an entire block on the north side of main street in the city of Clatonia.

We have not yet been able to find any historical information specifically on Boy Scout Lake.

The Haunting:

Peole have observed the ghostly figure of a woman walking around the lake, apparently searching for her family. Claims have been made that the woman froze in the lake, while searching for the family during a blizzard.

The trees leading up to the lake seem to grow together and "never seem to have many leaves" according to one report.

Observations:

I have not been able to track down any factual information specifically about Boyscout Lake.
