Dunseith is in northern North Dakota along the Canada/Dakota border. It is a small community of about 800 residents located in Rolette County.

Dunseith was founded in 1884.

Camp Mondak, sometimes spelled Camp Mon Dak, is north of Dunseith, North Dakota. Take Highway 3/Highway 281 9 miles north out of Dunseith. Turn east onto Highway 43 heading toward St. John, North Dakota. Travel 3 ½ miles and then turn south onto the road leading to Camp Mondak.
