Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind

Located at 33 N. Institute St. in Colorado Springs.

Originally named the The Colorado Institute for the Education of Mutes", the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind was developed in 1874 by Jonathon R. Kennedy. The school opened on April 8, 1874 at a small house in downtown Colorado Springs.

The school was moved to its present location in 1876. Today the campus is made up of 17 buildings on 37 acres of land.

Apparently, according to a report at Shadowlands–those who can hear have reported strange noises. In contrast, it has been reported that deaf individuals see ghosts in the dorm, gym, and basement.

One would wonder how those hearing strange noises might verify that they are not coming from a living person.
