It’s amazing how quickly traumatic events become "legendary" or "mythological" in the minds of those who did not experience them first hand. Indeed, the members of the Omahaunt team, are very aware of how the location of gruesome historical events can become sensationalized and, over time even morphed into tourist destinations. This is how the rest of the world (those not directly involved in the tragedy) distances themselves from their own fear of death. For tragic historical events that were not experience first-hand by any of the population of humans still living on earth, the mythological and legendary qualities of the stories are, perhaps "acceptable", indeed more tolerable than knowing the whole truth of what really happened. The story of Wild Bill Hickock is a good example of how a gruesome story can be turned into tourist destinations, how a villain becomes a hero as a story passes through the grapvine and how a tragic event becomes nothing but a good story to give people a little tingle in their otherwise dull lives.
The Columbine tragedy is less than 10 years old. What happened on that day at Columbine remains fresh in the minds of those living individuals who were there when it happened and as such, we ask that people posting comments here, to be respectful and honor the tragedy as a tragedy. This is not a tourist destination. Thoughtful comments on this "haunting" only, please.
Apparitions and orbs have been reportedly caught on film.
