Athens is a small community of approximately 1,100 residents in Mercer County, West Virginia. Although it is a small town, it is part of the Bluefield WV-VA micropolitan area with a population of about 110,000 residents.

Ghosts and the Paranormal at Concord University in Athens, West Virginia:

Students at Concord University in Athens, West Virginia have reported seeing apparitions and strong feelings of uneasiness.

Wilson Hall, a dormitory at Concord University is said to be host to paranormal phenomena. Students say that a student hung herself in room 320 on the third floor. Strange noises come from this room on the third floor of Wilson Hall. Doors open and close on their own. The ghost of a young girl in a white dress have been reported roaming about the third floor as well.

On the fourth floor of Wilson Hall, students report hearing furniture moving on its own without explanation.

Photos taken on the sixth floor of North Towers have an unusual number of orbs according to one report.

Sarvay and White Hall are also reportedly host to paranormal activity.
