Cry Baby Bridge

The story behind the haunting at Cry Baby Bridge in Clanton is similar to the tales told of other Cry Baby Bridges throughout the country. A woman threw her baby into the creek and it died there. Supposedly she was running from soldiers who were pursuing her in some battle. Now, there are ghosts associated with the bridge. Some people report hearing a young baby crying or claim things thrown over the bridge to the creek below will disappear without explanation.

A nearby bridge in Refuge manifests strange goings-on as well of a more sinister sort. It is a one-lane bridge located in a very isolated place. At this bridge people report balls of light and feelings like someone is following you. Perhaps the two are related somehow.
