Denver Public Library

Location:

Located at 10 W 15th Ave. Parkway.

History:

The main branch of the Denver Public Library was built in 1995. Prior to 1995, the main branch of the library was located in a smaller building. Because of Denver’s explosive population growth, the library books were moved several times to several different locations since 1910. At one time, nearly three quarters of the library materials were stored in basements in the library because there wasn’t enough room for the entire collection on the upper floors.

Haunting:

Paranormal reports have focused primarily on the basement of the Denver Public Library. According to reports, the entity in the basement will shove people.

Observations:

The basement collections of the Denver Public Library once represented the majority of the material available at the library. The new Denver Public Library main branch building is fairly new however and likely permits space for the collections on the upper level. Perhaps the paranormal reports were made prior to 1995.
