Brodhead, Wisconsin

Brodhead is located in southern Wisconsin in Green County and Rock County. It is a small community of about 3,000 residents.

Flynn’s Steakhouse Information:

Flynn’s Steakhouse was built in 1868. It was known as the “Young House” for a period of time and then the “Harris House” before becoming Flynn’s Steakhouse.

There are hotel rooms still on the upper floor of Flynn’s Steakhouse. They no longer function as hotel rooms, however. According to Voices Through the Static paranormal investigation team, there are still numbers on the doors and Victorian wallpaper inside the rooms.

Some Brodhead locals claim that a girl named Mary perished in a fire between 1863 and 1867 in one of the hotel rooms upstairs when she tried to start a kerosene lantern.

Ghosts and the Paranormal at Flynn’s Steakhouse in Brodhead, Wisconsin:

Guests at Flynn’s Steakhouse have reported objects moving without explanation. Strange noises and disembodied voices have also been reported.

Voices Through the Static, a paranormal investigation team in Wisconsin did two investigations at Flynn’s Steakhouse. They report that a woman in white has been reported at Flynn’s Steakhouse. She apparently has a “wispy” appearance and wears old-fashioned clothing. The apparition of this woman was once observed by a manager laying at the top of the stairs leading to the second floor. The manager was frightened and returned back downstairs and called the police. A vagrant (who looked nothing like the woman in white) was discovered upstairs. The manager felt as though this ghostly woman had protected her from harm.

Christmas lights that were uplugged the night before were mysteriously plugged in and turned on the next day. “Dragging” sounds have been reported coming from upstairs. Gas burners turn themselves on repeatedly without explanation. Candles light themselves.

One owner said he was going to “sell this place.” and a tray of glasses fell suddenly and mysteriously to the floor. A loaf of bread was observed levitating in the kitchen one night.

One manager reported arriving in the morning to find a flannel table cloth draped over the table nearest to the cash register. Flynn’s Steakhouse uses a different, white linen-type of tablecloth. No one to this day knows where the flannel tablecloth came from.

The sound of a player piano was recorded by Voices Through the Static. Various EVP’s were also captured by this paranormal investigation team. Cold spots and camera malfunctions were experienced by the investigators as well.
