Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum:

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse was built in 1860. It is located in Jupiter, Florida on the north side of Jupiter Inlet. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse was built on an Indian shell mound. It is 105 feet tall and can be seen 25 miles out to sea. The lighthouse was very isolated when it was first in use. Supplies for a whole year would be brought to the lighthouse keepers by boat and often the supplies would go bad with weevils and worms. The lighthouse keepers would hunt and fish and trade with the local Seminole Indians in order to survive while tending to the light.

Ghosts and the Paranormal at the Old Jupiter Lighthouse:

Visitors to the Old Jupiter Lighthouse report feeling cold spots and hearing strange sounds. Some people feel cold clammy hands on their shoulders and then turn and find that there is no one there.
