Location:

2555 W 37th Ave. in Denver, Colorado.

History:

This building was once lumber baron John Mouat’s mansion in the 1800′s. Over the years, a number of different people owned the building and eventually it fell into disrepair. In 1970, a young 17 year -old girl, a runaway who was taking lodging in the building was raped and then strangled. Her 18 year old friend unluckily stumbled in on the murder and the murderer shot and killed her as well.

The Lumber Baron Inn is currently a bed and breakfast that features private bathrooms, murder mystery parties, and high definition TV.

Haunting:

Apparitions of a girl in a flapper dress have been reported as well as disembodied footsteps.

Paranormal Investigators have apparently captured EVP’s that have been attributed to the two murdered girls.
