Alton is located in Madison County, Illinois approximately 15 miles north of St. Louis, Missouri.The population of Alton is about 30,000 people.

McPike Mansion Information:

The McPike Mansion was built in 1869 by Henry McPike. The McPike Mansion was abandoned in the 1950′s. Sharyn and George Luedke recently purchased the building and have been restoring it slowly back to its original splendor.

Ghosts and the Paranormal at McPike Mansion in Alton, Illinois:

The owners and visitors to the McPike Mansion have reported orbs and balls of light as well as apparitions, particularly in the windows.

The Grand Ole House is a major hotspot for paranormal events. Psychics believe that the McPike family, servants and perhaps others who have resided in the home are haunting the building. The Cellar is another focus of paranormal activity.
