Miramont Castle

History:

Miramont Castle was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. “Miramont” means “look at, or see the mountain”. It was built by Jean Baptiste Francolon. He offered the castle to the Sisters of Mercy to set up the Montcalme Sanatarium.

Paranormal Activities Reported:

Apparitions have been reported at Miramont Castle including the apparition of a young boy. Disembodied voices have also been reported including sounds of people mumbling when no one is there. Also, there are reports of a strange white mist, and disembodied footsteps. Objects will be moved without explanation and lights flicker on and off.

Reports of paranormal activities are prolific and regular at Miramont Castle. Apparently, it is common for visitors and employees to have mystical and strange encounters.
