The History:

Built in 1929 by Keith Neville, former governor of the state of Nebraska. Initially it was used for vaudeville productions, but later was utilized as a full-time motion picture theatre. The theatre closed in 1979, but was donated in 1980 by Mr. Neville’s daughters to the North Platte Community Playhouse. It reopend in 1983 as the Neville Center for the Performing Arts. It is currently used for live theatre productions.

The Haunting:

Paranormal encounters centered around the balcony and lighting booth. Cold spots and the feeling of someone’s “touch”.

Observations:

Theatres are very often reported to be host to a variety of different paranormal activities. Phantom of the Opera is based on the mythology of “theatre-ghosts”, for example.
