Red Rocks Amphitheater



Location:

Located 15 miles west of Denver, near Morrison, CO off exit #259 and then south on Colorado 93.

History:

This is an open-air amphitheatre that overlooks the city of Denver, Colorado.

John Brisben Walker was the visionary who set out to develop Red Rocks into a musical performance location in the early 1900′s.

In 1927, the Denver Parks Commission was able to complete the Red Rocks Amphitheatre Project on the cusp of the Great Depression through funding from the Civil Conservation Corps and the Work Projects Administration.

Haunting:

There have been reports of an apparition in the "restricted area" outside of the railings of an old man dressed in what appeared to be mining apparel.
