The Carbon Hotel was built in the early 1900’s, it was owned by C.A. Bortolino. The building was used as a hotel, bar, cafe, and sporting house over the years. Do to the large number of single male immigrants into the local mines the brothel on the upper floor was very popular, though somewhat illegal. Due to the increased pressure from authorities in the 1970’s the brothel closed its doors. This history brought a colorful haunting to this building, we captured some very interesting evidence from this location. We even captured an EVP that sounded as if a dove of the brothel was pleasing a costumer. View our video to see our captured evidence.
