Aldrich Mansion Information:
The Aldrich Mansion is located in Narragansett Bay in Warwick, Rhode Island south of Providence, Rhode Island on 85 acres. Construction on the building began in 1896, and was completed about 16 years later. The estate include the Aldrich Mansion itself along with a coach house, caretaker’s cottage and boathouse. A teahouse on the property burnt down many years ago.
Originally the Aldrich Mansion was owned by Senator Nelson Aldrich.It has been owned by the Roman Catholic Church since 1939, however. Our Lady of Providence Seminary relocated to the Aldrich Mansion in 1946. They constructed a campus and a chapel for the school. Today, the school is gone, but the mansion itself has been restored.
One of Senator Aldrich’s children committed suicide by jumping off the balcony at the Aldrich Mansion, according to several sources.

Apparitions of a female have been reported by employees and visitors to the Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, Rhode Island. They believe that this apparition is the ghost of the daughter who committed suicide by jumping from the balcony of the house.
