Located in Evangeline Parish, Basile High School is rumored to be haunted. Students have reported paranormal activity in the auditorium. Seats are said to move up and down when no one is near them. Strange noises and an eerie feeling of being watched has also been reported. Some students have also reported seeing lights flickering on and off, attributing it to paranormal causes.
