Big Woods Cemetery and Antioch Cemetery are connected. Locals claim that if you pass between these two graveyards and see a shadow person at the gate (which is no longer there), it is a bad omen. Folks who have made the passing despite the presence of the shadow person have never returned.

The Big Woods Cemetery and Antioch Cemetery were investigated by South Texas Paranormal Society and CCParanormal Group in 2004. EVP’s have been recorded in the cemetery by the two groups. Other paranormal investigation teams have purportedly captures photographic anomalies including orbs and ectoplasm.

The two haunted cemeteries are located east of Vinton, LA on Highway 388.
