Baltimore is located in central Maryland along the tidal portion of the Ptapsco River, an arm of the Chesapeake Bay. Sometimes, it is referred to as Baltimore City as distinguished from Baltimore County. It has a population of 620,000 residents.
Baltimore was founded in 1729. It was named after Lord Balitmore, a member of the Irish House of Lords and the founding proprietor of the Maryland Colony.

The Black Woods are purportedly haunted by a witch. Indeed, some claim that the Black Woods are more aptly known to locals as the Blair Witch Woods. Some people have reported encountering apparitions in the woods as well as strange sounds and strong feelings of uneasiness.
