The C.E. Byrd High School is said to be haunted by the ghost of a girl who drowned in a swimming pool. According to students, there was once a swimming pool located where the current dance studio is located.
In the sub-basement of the school, also known as “the catacombs”, a JROTC instructor is rumored to have short and killed himself with a rifle. His ghost still roams the halls of the school.
Students have reported different types of paranormal activity at the school including eerie feelings, strange sounds, and cold spots in unusual places.
