The haunted Dauphine Hotel in New Orleans is a gathering place for ghostly Civil War soldiers and prostitutes.
Located in the French Quarter, this haunted hotel is said to be host to ghostly Civil War soldiers and prostitutes from the nearby May Baily’s (a brothel turned bar). The buildings date all the way back to the nineteenth century. Despite the hotel’s elegance, visitors often report hearing strange moaning sounds, as well as waking up to their beds shaking and moving, and their doors locking inexplicably.
