Location:

Take I-25 to exit 138/Circle Drive. Go east on Circle Drive to 2nd left after the I-25 intersection. Turn right on Janitell, go to the “T” and turn right on the frontage road. Follow that road to the school.

History:

Harrison High School was established over 100 years ago on August 20, 1874. Harrison High School is named after President Benjamin Harrison. It is the second oldest organized school district in El Paso County. The first classes were held at the Bates farmhouse which was located where the Circle Drive Mobile Home Park is currently situated in Colorado Springs. In 1891, a two room facility was built for Harrison school on the Lewis Dairy Farm which was located where the Colorado Springs World Arena is now located. Today, Harrison School District 2 consists of a number of schools.

Paranormal Activities Reported:

Supposedly, the ghost of “Malcolm” haunts the auditorium. “Malcolm” was an actor who apparently manifests in the form of disembodied footsteps and unexplained glowing lights.
