Manchester, New Hampshire
Manchester is the largest city in New Hampshire and northern New England. It is home to approximately 110,000 residents and located in Hillsborough County along the banks of the Merrimack River.
Hesser College Information:
Hesser College is a for-profit college with campuses in several locations in New Hampshire. It is owned by Kaplan, Inc.
Hesser College was originally founded as Hesser Business college in Manchester in 1900. In 1975, Hesser College began to expand its educational services outside of Manchester by opening the first extension campus in Nashua, New Hampshire. Additional campuses were opened in Portsmouth, Salem, and Concord, New Hampshire in the following decades.
Ghosts and the Paranormal at Hesser College in Manchester, New Hampshire:
The ghost of a young boy is said to bounce an ethereal ball on the third and fourth floors.
Students have reported hearing the sound of a “wet finger running down a window” in some rooms. Student lore is that a young girl died of hypothermia at Hesser College and tried to write the word, “help” on the window.
The back stairwell behind the administration offices is said to be haunted.
Disembodied footsteps have been reported. Objects move without explanation. Strange knocking sounds have been reported. Water faucets turn on and off by themselves. Some have reported cold spots.
