Appleton is partially located in Calumet, Outagamie, and Winnebago Counties in Wisconsin on the Fox River. The city is approximately 100 miles north of Milwaukee. The population of Appleton is about 80,000.

Kate Blood’s Grave Information:

Kate Blood’s grave is located at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton, Wisconsin. (Riverside Cemetery and St. Joseph’s Cemetery sit adjacent to each other).To find it, start in Appleton and take E. Wisconsin Avenue east. Then, turn right onto N. Owaissa St. going south. Take the second left into Riverside Cemetery. Then, take an immediate right onto the small road and continue following it south to Section D of Riverside Cemetery. Park your vehicle and walk down the path that is chained off. Kate M. Blood’s gravesite is located on the left hand side of this path, a few feet from Section D in the Riverside Cemetery.

The gravesite of Kate M. Blood is located near the Fox River. It is in an area beyond where the other tombstones are located. She is buried in a wooded area where a trail leads to her gravesite.

Appleton locals have claimed that Kate Blood murdered her husband and three kids. However, this rumor appears to be false, as the gravestones indicate that Kate Blood’s husband outlived her and even married a second time. The husband’s second wife then outlived him.

According to one source, Kate Blood was just a young wife who died on her way to Colorado to be treated for tuberculosis. She had two children. One of them died very young. The other one was still living when she herself died.

Some cemetery visitors claim that on the night of a full moon, one can see a reddish liquid seeping from the stone. Others claim that Kate Blood’s gravestone is warmer than the other gravestones nearby.

  1. Riverside Cemetary October 9th 2011. I got a picture of an orb to the right of Kate m. Blood’s Headstone. There were no lights in the area. Looks like the orb is moving upwards when you zoom it in. Looks like a ball of energy.
