Located adjacent to the French Quarter in New Orleans, LA, Le Pavillon is an excellent choice for folks looking for a haunted hotel during their stay. It is one of the most haunted hotels in New Orleans. The hotel actually hired a paranormal investigation team to validate their claims of paranormal activity in the building. The paranormal team found the presence of a teenage girl named Eva, Ada, or Ave (they couldn’t tell for sure) who was confused and distraught. This ghostly adolescent is said to have been lingering at Le Pavillon since the 1840’s. She was struck by a carriage and perished due to the injuries.
A young wealthy young couple is also said to haunt Le Pavillon Hotel. Their spirits date back to the 1920’s.
Another man from the 1920’s was also detected by the paranormal investigation team. His spirit is said to be a prankster. He aims to keep the cleaning crew on their toes.
A graying old woman has been seen sitting on the edge of a bed in the hotel. The guest awoke to find the ghost stroking his hair and saying, “I will never let you go.” He jumped up and turned on the light, but she had already disappeared by this time.
More than one paranormal investigation team has explored Le Pavillon. The different groups disagree on how many ghosts haunt the building, but some say they’ve documented over 100 of them. Visitors report seeing apparitions at the foot their bed as well as strange noises. Other types of paranormal activity often reported including the feeling of bed sheets being pulled off the bed, usually in the hours after midnight. Object disappear inexplicably and then turn up again later in strange places.
Without a doubt, this is one of the most haunted hotels in New Orleans.
The Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas, Le Pavillon’s sister hotel is said to be equally as haunted.
