Wheeling, West Virginia
Wheeling is a city of approximately 30,000 residents in northern West Virginia. The city is situated partially in Ohio County and partially in Marshall County.
Wheeling was the first capital of West Virginia.

The Peninsular Cemetery is located on National Road Highway 40. It is located near an abandoned World War II armament factory.
The Peninsular Cemetery was opened on May 2, 1842. A number of bodies were exhumed and then moved to the Peninsular Cemetery from the Sixteenth Street Cemetery.

The ghost of a woman dressed in a black cape has been reported on the southwest corner of the Peninsular Cemetery near her own grave. Wheeling locals believe that she may be standing watch to make certain her grave is not moved again.
